CREDIT REPORTING DISPUTES
GANDY LAW OFFICES, P.C. also represents clients who have
filed bankruptcy through our firm in connection with credit
reporting errors and disputes after their bankruptcy
case is completed. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, all
credit reporting agencies are required to ensure fair and accurate
reporting of credit transactions. Oftentimes, there are errors on your
credit reports which need to be corrected after your bankruptcy case is completed. All negative credit
information adversely affects your credit score. In turn,
your credit score greatly affects your financial health,
as it determines the costs at which you can
obtain credit, and even the insurance rates that you will
pay.
The fresh start you obtained through
a bankruptcy filing should not be impaired by an incorrect credit report.
Therefore, it is very important that
you maintain control of, and ensure the accurate reporting
of your credit. If you believe that a credit reporting
agency is not accurately reporting information about your credit transactions after
your bankruptcy, or if you have been damaged by a creditor
that is not reporting accurate information about you to a credit bureau, then you
may contact our office at (888) 874-0289 for an initial consolation
with Attorney Gandy.
DEBT COLLECTION DISPUTES
GANDY LAW OFFICES, P.C. also represents clients who have
filed bankruptcy through the firm and have had their rights
violated by debt collectors before, during, and after their
bankruptcy case. Under Iowa and Federal Law, there are definite
restrictions on the manner in which a creditor or its
debt collectors can undertake to collect a debt. Sometimes before, during,
and after a bankruptcy filing these laws are violated
by over aggressive debt collectors. If you believe that a debt collector or creditor has acted
unreasonably in its efforts to collect its debt, please contact our office for a
consultation. "
